A.L. East - Okay, it seems like the Yankees have already ran away with the division ... I think every one will be shocked if Boston can overcome a 6.5 gm deficit w/ barely over a month to go.

A.L. Central - This division is pretty much up for grabs in my eyes ... Detroit has a 4 gm cushion but that can change quickly w/ Minnesota playing well and Chicago attempting to make a push w/ a number of recent trades.

A.L. West - Angels only have a 4.5 gm lead on Texas, but I gotta go w/ experience on this one ... I don't even think it's gonna come down to the wire cuz I expect the Angels to heat up a bit and Texas to cool off.

A.L. Wild Card - I guess Texas is also in contention here, but I can't see the Redsox not making the playoffs at all (as much as I'd love to see it happen).

N.L. East - Phillies have pretty much wrapped up the division w/ Lee dominating batters as most former A.L. aces do when they switch leagues ... and it helps to have the best bats in the N.L.

N.L. Central - This is the worst divison in baseball ... I say the worst cuz it's basically on par w/ the A.L. Central but it's not competitive ... St. Louis has basically won already.

N.L. West - Colorado and San Fran are much better than I thought they would be, but L.A. is still running away w/ this division.

N.L. Wild Card - It's pretty much a two-horse race unless you take Atlanta seriously ... other than the A.L. Central, this is the juiciest race in baseball ... I'm gonna go w/ San Fran solely on the basis of their amazing 1-2 tandum, but their bats are so bad the WC can easily go the other way.

PREDICTIONS:

AL Round One

Yankees OVER Tigers 3-1

Redsox OVER Angels 3-2

NL Round One

Phillies OVER Giants 3-2 < *I'm predicting the Phillies finish w/ the best record in the N.L.

Cardinals OVER Dodgers 3-2

ALCS

Yankees OVER Redsox 4-2

NLCS

Phillies OVER Cardinals 4-2

Watching the Braves lose the lead in the 6th to the Marlins :/ Was thinking they might take the first 3 of this 4 game series, but Cox left the starter in too long for the 100th time this season. Let him load the bases and THEN bring in the 'pen. Did the same shit last night, but the 'pen managed to get out of it. Not so tonight.

Braves are 3 out of the WC, but with Philly playing so well and having a lot of games against them left it's gonna be an uphill climb. Plus Chipper Jones is hitting .120 something in his last 40 or so at bats.

This game is slipping away quick, hope the Rockies and Giants lose tonight.

The A.L. divisions are wrapped up and Texas is basically done imo, so the A.L. wild card is wrapped up too ...

The N.L. East and Central are wrapped up, and imo the N.L. West and wild card are wrapped up by LA and Colorado respectively, althought the two could plausibly flip flop.
