Just A Little Bit Longer... We're ALMOST Done.
July 4, 2008

A little background to those of you unfamiliar with who I am, and why I am writing.

I go by 69X on goldmic.com, but that is the only place you will find any reference of 69X. I run my own professional business, in the field of lifestyle management. I run my own company, no bullshit in that. Its called Life/Style Development, or L/SD, for short. I have professionally been employed as a marketing director and image consultant for 2 years now. Short time? Yes, but it is a lot in this career where people come and go nightly. My industry name is Sasha Suave, and there is reasoning to that, but I'll leave that for others to figure out.

I have been a member of Goldmic since its Openmic Divista days, and have to believe that I was at one point the YOUNGEST serious member of this online battling community. This was before the influx of 8 mile and 15 year olds who believe that they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Regardless, I have earned my respect amongst the serious heads on this site for a unique flare in writing and witty herb roasting. Ask around, anyone who is ANYONE on this site knows 69X, but I have no reason to brag. I am humble about who I am. I have no active status in hip hop, other than that of loyal fan, and devotee to the art form. I occasionally write poetically from time to time but I have no reason to actively battle or record, ever again, because a hobby will remain a hobby, and other things at this point in my life have more priority.

To those of you curious, I gave my first ALL DAY PAID Seminar Last weekend, with my protege, "Lucky". It was a great success. 15 guys experienced a two day identity-creating life facelift. But, enough of that, there's more info on my website about that if you're seriously interested.

Anyways, props to Goldmic.com and the mods for their serious dedication to us. I was really shocked how fast they addressed the issue of my first post being lost. Thats some major shit man. I can truly say it feels good to back.

I know this has been a lot longer than when I originally planned for it to be, but its finally here.

So, on to the topic. I will touch on what I originally wrote, and what was lost, but I cannot recreate genius so this will be a new topic all in itself.

While listening to Mario's "Music for Love", I was intrigued into thinking what is love? More importantly, what is the difference between Love and Lust? Serious topics to wrap your brains around and not something to listen to lightly, either, mind you.

Anyways, onto the topic. Love, Lust, Sex and everything in between.

First off, I want to say one thing: Sex is natural and naturally will be part
of a healthy relationship, without it, people DO suffer. No matter how
great every other part of the relationship is, people still do cheat
and break up because of bad sex.

If this sounds a little too grown for some of you, well then I suggest you concern yourself with other topics. This is grown folks biz.

Aside from that, I want to make one another point, which I will probably catch some heat for, but is very well explained, so just keep reading before you start throwing shit.

Love is NOT a true emotion. It is a grouping of many emotions that associate with being involved with someone, and more often than not, its the needy, negative emotions.

People did not commonly wallow in self-pity and kill themselves over break ups until others wrote about it. Negativity over "love" spread very fast and became like a disease. Our common idea of monogamous relationships is not very old. It only developed recently in the last few hundred years. Before that, people commonly had multiple partners, cheated on one another, and went out of their way for sex. Except they did not see it as a big deal. The difference is, they didnt write about it. With the aid of literature, we really gave a new "emotion" life.

This is the point of view, and reality, developed by modern psychologists.

the fact is that psychologists for the most were highly sexist. The majority were men, which is naturally flawed because women are actually, scientifically proven, much better at thinking outside of the box. The father OF psychology, Freud, is quoted for writing that after 35+ or so years of research, the hardest question that he still had NEVER answered was 'what women want'. Freud was VERY limited in his beliefs. He believed that the Vaginal orgasm was a myth. Wow.

Most young-adults (oxymoron, I know) now take an emotionally-detached, physical take on dating and sex. After I decided to end my last serious relationship, I also decided that I would re-examine my definition of love, logically. I can agree, if you can disconnect the neediness that most men and women associate with love and other common emotions, you can have a care-free social life. Its fucking true. In the year or so after I've broken up with my ex, I have met, non-committedly dated, and been with a lot more women then ever before. But is it equal to the emotions shared in that one long relationship? Not by a long shot.

In taking this approach, you are cheating yourself out of the very reason that we life live.
You are supposed to fall in "love", get your heart broken, and repeat the cycle a few times until you meet the right person. Thats the beauty of the complex design. Dehumanizing yourself to the entire process just cheats you out of how good it can be in the end, to truly fall in LOVE.

Am I wrong in believing so? Who knows. You can be a fool and always fall in love, and try to "buy the stairway to heaven", or you can be dehumanized in you process, and have a lot of sex with many partners, but never experience any of the serious emotions associated with living life. Or you can be completely different and try to live life without others imposing their will onto you. Why Not?
